


The Gimnasio Cartagena de Indias has a Counseling Department which directs all services required by the educational institution in order to achieve the highest quality in personalized, integrated training.
This team’s goal is to accomplish interaction and integration among students, faculty, administration and maintenance staff of the institution, thereby facilitating the development, the main challenge of the GCI.
The Chaplain is part of the school’s Counseling Team, and the Educational Center's mission is to ensure that the religious doctrine and spiritual training of parents, teachers and students is conducted properly, through the supervision of their religious teachings and the development of their religious beliefs and the moral standards that govern their behavior, both individually and socially.
The school has a Department of Psychology accompanying educational processes of the students. It attends and monitors special cases, supports and empowers group leaders to detect and handle group and individual issues and behaviors, and develops the assessment processes for students and teachers. It also provides career guidance for Juniors and Seniors.
The school has a permanent medical doctor who takes care of the students who have medical problems or a medical emergency. The doctor keeps track of the history of each student and takes into account their special medical needs. The doctor also develops attention campaigns to educate the students and teachers with regard to medical care and prevention.
With the theme "Leadership in Action", this committee is responsible for coordinating projects and activities that seek to maintain and improve the school's relations and human, spiritual, physical and academic well-being. It also seeks to promote high quality of life for students. This committee ensures that training activities, which take place in the school gym, provide a boost to the school's spirit, so the students love their school and feel happy in it.
This tutoring project in ASPAEN schools seeks to guide the students, it is a task of utmost importance that motivates the students to set high goals, make smart decisions in any life situation and learn how to interpret real world issues.
The main objective of these activities is to strengthen the human and spiritual growth, dedicating a special time and providing specific methods to improve human virtues, promote a cooperative spirit, and help the integration of the students.
Its main objective is to use part of vacation time for different activities that bring personal growth by helping others, promoting integration through games and group life and community work.
The spiritual retreats for high school students are planned to give them a time and space to strengthen their faith, their practices of piety and to be better prepared for receiving the holly sacraments.
ANCLA is a project designed to create groups of young people interested in the research of current topics that influence their environment in a positive way. Young girls with leadership skills are trained to have a straight approach and clear ideas. ANCLA in an acronym (Spanish) that reflects the key issues on which the program works: Friendship, Dating, Criteria, Freedom and Love.
